Schools We Work With

Kitara Nation runs poetry clubs, workshops, festivals and publications in secondary schools across Uganda — and, through the Emboozi Teba Nkadde poetry project, reaches young women, including girls living with disabilities and in refugee settings.

Schools in This Project

The project runs across six districts — including Kampala, Mbale, Butaleja and Soroti — reaching up to 20 schools (~60 students each), three refugee communities, and a Deaf-inclusive stream delivered with two schools for the deaf, alongside partners VROM, Voice of Refugees Media and Sign Language For All.
